EMBERS OF FIRE - 3D Modeling Digital Art

The constant longing for love, loss of control and disappointment leave the individual with anxious attachment in a constant state of instability, which has similarities to the unpredictability of nature and the potential for explosive confrontations in the form of volcanoes.

Meanwhile, the infrasonic wave of volcanic activity is similar to the frequency of human brain waves during emotional changes, at 0-20Hz and 0-30Hz respectively, so it is a wonderful connection that the change of scene in this film is accompanied by a change of emotional state.
This film shows the underlying tension, emotional turmoil, and exploration of human connections through different scenes.

Through this project, I hope to awaken empathy for people who experience emotions generated by anxious attachments, and at the same time prompt them to reflect on their emotional value judgments and self-redemption.
This film uses the volcano as a medium to express the emotional state of people with anxious attachment in different three stages of the relationship. The character is connected to the energy of the volcano, with which he has a cross-species dialogue and empathy.
SCENE #01 DORMANCY –
The character is sleeping in the snowy mountains and silence before the eruption, murmuring and waiting. This scene symbolizes the anxiously attached person's state of yearning, anticipation and insecurity and vulnerability prior to a relationship.
SCENE #02 Eruption –
The character heard the voice of the volcano and saw it erupt out of control as the butterfly rushed into the flames and smoke. This scene symbolizes the uncontrollable nerves and explosive emotions of people with anxious attachment in a relationship.
SCENE #03 Ruins –
The volcano engulfed everything, leaving only silence and darkness once more. The scene symbolizes the exhaustion and sadness of people with anxious attachment after being consumed by a failed relationship. Meanwhile another round of waiting for love is entered, caught in a cycle.
At the end, I would like to express my gratitude and respect to French volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft. It was their obsession and love for volcanoes that inspired me to do this project. Their pursuit of dangerous beauty cost them their lives, a life of unparalleled greatness and bravery. I am grateful to them for leaving us with so many precious and wonderful records and images of the volcano.
